A plant app built the way it should be

By a gardener who got tired of the alternatives.

I'm Brendan. I live in Australia and I grow things. When I started looking for a plant app to help manage my garden, I found plenty that could identify a leaf. But none of them checked my local weather before giving advice. None of them let me map my property. And most of them tried to sneak a subscription past me before I'd even used the app. So I built SteadGrow.

Built by Australian gardeners, for Australian gardeners

SteadGrow is grounded in real experience growing plants across Australian climate zones — from the humid tropics of Queensland to the cool-temperate gardens of Victoria. Every feature reflects lessons learned hands-in-dirt.

We integrate directly with the Bureau of Meteorology so your care advice is driven by actual local weather data, not generic schedules. When rain is forecast for Thursday, SteadGrow tells you to skip watering — because that is what an experienced gardener would do.

From companion planting strategies to frost date alerts, SteadGrow turns local climate knowledge into actionable guidance — the kind of advice you would get from a neighbour who has been gardening for decades.

What we believe

Honesty over optimisation

We'd rather lose a subscriber than trick someone into paying. Our business model is built on trust, not dark patterns.

Weather-smart, not weather-blind

Your location and conditions matter. Generic advice doesn't cut it. SteadGrow knows your local weather, your frost dates, and your growing zone.

Growers over revenue

We're building tools for people who actually grow things, not a revenue machine. Your success in the garden is our success.

Australian made

SteadGrow is designed, built, and hosted in Australia. Your data stays local. Your support helps an independent Australian business, not a multinational tech company.
